Passport renewal rip off

Need to renew my passport -so filled the forms out on line -which then required two photos . Went to one of those machines yesterday and couldn't believe how much it was  - and you cant even change over half way -what a rip off - cost me a tenner        

Take your own photo, its easy enough, they provide a guide to show you what is and isn't allowed.

If you have a decent printer at home then print them yourself, if not, then use copy and paste in a photo editing program to produce a sheet with about a dozen pics on and get it printed at Asda, done this for our passports and driving licence etc and never had one refused yet
