| Beware travelling around Spain without you seat belt and reflective jackets.
We spent 2 hrs in the hospital at Crevillente today then 1 hour in a police queue checking your seat belts and there were sufficient reflective jackets for each occupant in the car, there was a police radar set up in town and they must have had video cameras as several of the 17 cars in our queue were ticketed for not wearing seat belts.
Think the police need more cash and the motorist is like a cash cow, one good tip is if the road sign says STOP do it even if the road is clear, its an instant €60 fine and they will get you.
Today has been sunny all day but a howling wind since last night and we still have it, suppose to calm down tomorrow. | |

| I'd be concerned if they were corrupt and said you didn't stop when you did, otherwise I'm not bothered it's not a hardship. Is it really i viz per person? In France it is just the driver although wrongly commonly believed to be eveyone | |

| Every person that leaves a vehicle on the Spanish m/way/dual carraigeway must have a h viz jacket on. We had just come of the m/w onto the local road back to the site. | |

| Would not dream of saying they are corrupt but they are. extremely keen how many times have we all approached a STOP sign and because we have good vision of the roads failed to completely come to a dead stop, and that's what they want to see. | |
