| Just watching "The storms that stole Christmas" on Channel 4. I don't think we need any more rain (or winds) | |

| Only 25 deg today (in shade). Odd cloud here & there, but no sign of the wet stuff here at Marjal.

| Well we are home after a nightmare getting into Portsmouth docks, it took until 20.00hrs and should have been 17.00hrs high wind and tidal flow caused the problem, then the worst bit as it was torrenting rain when we disembarked and the M27, M3 and A34 to Oxford was horrendous with roads awash with water, I was actually aquaplaning on a couple of occasions and I was fully freighted at 6000kgs (bit of vino in garage ) , so I stuck Buffy behind a Eddie Stobert truck and stayed there. Parked up at around 23.30 hrs and had a good nights kip then a nice steady ride home, m/h washed and part unloaded (bit of vino in garage needs removing tomorrow) now for a nice cuppa and a curry. Nice to be home but we did enjoy most of the trip but the last few days was constant rain, and we had the biggest and loudest thunder storm at Caberceno we have ever experienced and it rained for 40hrs non stop, we will not be stopping at the International Aranjuez camping (south of Madrid) again as it is now a scruffy dirty place and also expensive. | |

| Great you're both home safe & sound. It's 3.20 am here, we've both been up since 12.30 on awning watch!! It's blowing an absolute gale here at Marjal. It's been blowy all day, but getting worser and worser.....cleared out the awning ready to dismantle it if it starts to shred itself !! And we're not the only ones up at this mad hour!
regards Allen & Eileen | |
