Hopefully carry on up after the beer and sausage festival
I have some kind of plan for my ferry journeys

Well here is the first of many or maybe not ferries
Uig Skye. To Tarbert Harris. 1. 3/4. Hr
Then after a mooch round the top
Leverburg. South Harris. To Berneray (North Uist). 1 hour
Then after a good old mooch round the bottom return via
Lochmaddy North Uist. To Uig Skye. 1. 3/4 hr
But things can change | |

| Have a good tour round Skye. Wish we could go back. We visited Uig harbour/port when we there it was very tempting to get on the ferry. | |

| Hia Well my first set of ferry routes as been put on hold so now looking at other ferry routes Grrrrrrrrrr Oh and stop overs on the way up from Preston as I allow myself about 125 to 150 miles driving Then a stay over That's why it can take me weeks to get somewhere | |

| Polly you can only book a return ferry from outward port to the Isle's which will include your designated inward port, both of them your choice, you cannot book ferries from Island to Island as these are payed for on the ferry you use on the day. Hope that is clear | |

| This is the route we took and from Uig Skye and the back to Fort Augustus and Fort William then Loch Lomond and home, but we did some detours along the way, a fascinating trip. Hope it gives you some ideas Polly. Ferries en-route [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Lots of wild camping spots on the way to Skype Polly. Go through Callander and you will come to Lochs on the left. We spent a night on the shingle beach. Have been told motorhomes overnight on the leisure centre carpark opposite Morrisons in Fort William. But we went further up on the Kyle of Lochalsh road we found two concrete plinths over looking a Loch. On Skye we parked on the old disused narrow roads. Last garage/supermarket is at Broadford on Skye. | |

| Hope you enjoy your month in Scotland Polly. Don't forget your Avon Skin So Soft for the midges. Western Scotland is the worst for midge bites. Colin says we are going to Scotland - but I can't see any pigs flying But if we do we plan to go on Britannia again, at Edinburgh. It is over 10years since our first visit and have heard there have been improvements made such as an on board cafe for afternoon tea. Following visiting Britannia we will go to northern edge of Scotland, so may see any Homers heading in that direction. | |
