| I would imagin its because the Easter rally will probably be in the rally field and rallies there usually command a much lower rate. The Xmas meet will be using their standard hard standing pitches which is what we have asked for hence the higher figure. If you check their website the standard pitches usually are charged between £15 & £17 per night. | |

| I would like some info from Members that have been to any of the sites mentioned so as to make an informed decision on which to choose, distance/cost is not my priority but comfort and facilities are.
We have been to Donnington but was dismayed that they could not let us use the bottom field nearer the toilets/showers and the cost of the room is exorbitant so we are ruling that one out, now those of you that attended last years AGM at Uttoxeter seem to have enjoyed it apart from a heating the room situation, so that is still a goer for us.
Smeaton lakes we will make our own decision on as we will be there shortly as for the other two site has anyone been and have they any comments please.
I think we could do with a little more time on the voting but do realise that the time restraints for booking will be important.

| I have had a quick look at the Smeaton Lakes site and it seems that the nearest pub I can find for a meal is about 1.5m so beyond a walk for some members So like Bob says a bit more info from other members might be useful | |

| I have been to Smeaton Lakes on 2 occasions once on the rally field with another group and once on our own following Newark MH show. It is a very popular attractive site but I didn't use any facilities ie: toilet block although I know friends did but there weren't any complaints in my hearing. I can't comment on the room we would hire as I havent seen it. Admittedly there isnt a pub in a suitable walking distance but there wasn't this year at Uttoxeter and we managed with help from Pete & Pauline and I am sure we could arrange some sort of transport if we don't have any cars.
Uttoxeter was a really good venue although the hall was rather large. If we choose the second weekend there are more suitable rooms available to use so possibly warmer. Unfortunately I cant make the second weekend and I would really like to come as we had such a good time but will have to go with what the members decide.
Donnington I have no experience of.
Comberton sounds a lovely venue and I am sure I have been there many years ago but I cant remember any details but it couldn't have been bad otherwise it would have stuck in the memory.
Bosworth is an unknown but I liked the sound of it so I decided to get a quote.
I would have liked to have given you more time to decide but the sooner we can book this in the better choice we have and I can get it organised before I start going away.
Hopefully other members will give you further feedback.

| Hia First review Incase I get timed out again
Donnington Nice site. I didn't reliaze that the showers were open Bob thought the ones at the top were because of the size of your vans There wouldn't have been enough room fore all where I was
The room was an L shape and we were sat around large tables , so I found it hard to socialise. Nothing wrong with the company I was with
Boot sale on and we could access through the back gate £5 to get in
Some said the planes were loud but I am use to planes flying overhead Nowhere to walk off site, no where to walk
Uttoxiter
All parked together No showers available Room was a rectangle shaped room and we decorated it and set it in a social nanour so all was able to sit and chat and whatever. We left a section for dancing and prancing It was a little chilly, but knowing that we could take heaters with us
Short walk into Uttoxiter where they gave lots of charity shops Also there is a also a shopping complex Mel managed on her mobility scooter to join the ladies in there stroll into Uttoxiter
Also you could stroll around the racecourse I didn't visit the Christmas market but I think that was a fiver to get in but only think

| Cheryl, if you are interested in going to the xmas meet then definitely vote, we understand that it is hard to plan, especially if you are working like we are. you are only voting for the venue at this time, so have a look at the websites...Thanks. | |

| You all know my feelings about the FB page I find it takes away from the main site but these days most people prefer FB than the main site so why is the vote not on there, has it been decide not to place the vote on FB as unfortunately I think there would be more voting and maybe more information given about the other venues.
Just a thought. | |

| Bob we have had a brief chat about your comments and as it was decided at the AGM not to put meets on FB we will stick with that decision.
I think it will be too confusing for FB posters and we couldn't have the vote on there as well as the forum. If people are interested enough they will join the forum and I believe quite a few are doing so even if they haven't posted yet.
Regarding information about the sites we are voting on why dont you post in the FB group and ask for it yourself.

| Not helpfull I know but, we'll not be attending cos we'll be in Benidorm next Xmas.
Yorkshire Pride (or one of the many others) for dinner then an easy walk back.
So if any other members are over there come & join us.
Have a great time and wrap up well.

| The poll isn't set up correctly as you can see the voting results if you are not logged in. Usually you can't see the result until you've voted. | |
