Hi Frank. It's biting right at the top. Had a new clutch fitted when we bought it 3 years ago and it's started to slip again. Always had a biting point at very top. Never felt right. No free play.

Sorry, it was me who asked, I put Franks name in as he has a van with the same engine.
Has it been re-mapped by any chance?

Hi Ken. It was remapped a good few years back. I spoke to original owner yesterday who did the remap and he had no trouble with it.

Just had Quantum remaps on the phone who did the remap in 2013. Told him my problem and he assures me it won't be the remap. Done loads of this model without a problem. He suspects a cheap clutch fitted last time. Only time will tell. Thanks for your replies.

I'm only going off what I have read on the various forums etc, but they usually recommend a heavy duty clutch (which is available) after a re-map, so if you do need a new clutch this might be worth looking into.

I've looked for a heavy duty clutch but can't find one. Spoke to Fiat this morning and they tell me one's not available. Do you have a link Ken ?

Hi Ken. I rang CMS on Monday and spoke to a very helpful man called Tony. He remembers doing the motorhome but didn't have the part number to hand. He rang me today after contacting LUK technical department and they no longer do a heavy duty clutch. Not enough demand for them. Tony said he thinks the standard clutch should be man in enough for the job so we'll find out in a few weeks when mines done.
