Victoria Park with electric £16.50 with ccc Easter weekend
No Road noise,  nicer views,  safer  locked in with combination number lock in on pedestrian and road gates.

I've tried and tried asking Barbara and no answer to my questions, did get one reply saying she'd ask but haven't heard anything since


I have heard it is now £15 for the large vans and £12 for others, she won't confirm this, won't reply to emails and won't reply to my text.

I can only assume that we will be getting charged the new prices  


Shall I keep it going or cancel it?

Well I've got half an answer from Barbara!

If she comes back and says it will be at the new prices, are you still willing to go and pay this? Or should I cancel it?

We've managed to get three days off work so we're going to go a bit further afield.
Southport is handy when we've only got two days off.

Can someone have a look and see if any of the camping clubs have a meet at Victoria park, we need to look into this place and see how to go about booking it, saying that though, is it worth booking for 4 vans?

Ken seems a better place, better facilities. Mayby more will join.

Such a shame Ken but understand between lack of interest and price increases it’s probably the only answer, don’t think c&cc have got anything else n Victoria park that date, other dates but obv everyone one on motor-homers May not be members of c&cc, looks like you and Adele will have to leave your paradise island and get us back into shape lol

These are C&CC meets at Victoria Park but as said you need to be a member of the club and I would not think they would let you book so many places. But it's big enough to just turn up

Has I said in my other post when I was there there were 3 different camping groups around the park
So we could possibly book for a group of 10 vans or try less vans
But I don't know who the booking contact is yet

This is pretty close to our original dates to Polly, but as you say all may not be members

Barbara has got back to me.
Because we booked this before the price increase they will honour the price of £10 per night so I will leave this meet on here, hope we can get a few more to attend, it's your last chance at this price
It's not an option to go there for me anymore, but I know I wouldn't at the new prices, couple of pound more and you can be parked in a better place with EHU

Hi Ken,

I have been staying there this week and can confirm the prices are 12 pounds a night without EHU and 15 with, 

One problem is that the hookups are allocated, and result in vans being parked far too close to each other, it wasn't a problem for me as most of the time I was there ( Billy no mates haha ) , there weren't many vans onsite, but noticed as Friday arrived and more vans appeared for the weekend they were being parked 3/4 feet apart !!!!!,

Still just a crappy car park brilliantly situated, although a brand new Elsan disposal point has been built . . .  not before bloody time either !!!!.

ARGHH!! It's just been brought to my attention that this meet falls on the same weekend as the Southport airshow
When I booked this meet the airshow dates hadn't been released, going off previous years we expected it to be around the 14th or 21st, Barbara had heard it could even be being moved forward to July.
As a rally they are honouring the £10 per night price, there's no way they will let us go to the airshow for that price, I've just checked online and they are charging £50 for 2 nights for a motorhome less than 7m and £65 for a motorhome over 7m
I'll contact Barbara and see what she says.
Would you like to keep these dates or move it forward or back a week?

That sure is a rip off price Ken, and like you, no way on earth that I would pay that sort of money to stay on a car park,

I can manage the weekend after that Friday 13th (unlucky for some ha ha?), after that I'll be on my way down to catch the ferry to Spain.

PS I am actually there at the moment for a few nights, I'll have a word with Barbara if you like !.
