This was a very special ride on the Flamsbana train, stunning scenery. If you get of at the top you can walk down the path back to town.

Route de Presles is a stunning mountain road located in the Isère department in southeastern France. This one we did in the car when we were towing not a chance in a motorhome, but one of the most scenic drives ever done for me.

We here are a few words and pictures of our winter trip to the Marjal site in Catral Spain, it is a big site but has everything you need on site, good bike riding area and only 1 mile from town centre and loads of camino roads with no traffic, but you do need transport if you want to get out and about and the public transport is sketchy and infrequent.

Billy no mates at Portsmouth docks.

Well we did not have a great start to this trip as we broke down on the A14/A1 junction and caused chaos with the truckers heading for the container terminal at Felixstowe, but the lovely local traffic police towed us 500mts into a service area, and they were great about it.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Things went from bad to worse for the next 3 days with RAC attending us 5 times in 26 miles...

The most respected member on this forum actually takes the time and the trouble to put together a decent post about  what this site is supposed to be about "MOTORHOMING" and only one of the 400 odd members that didnt go on the trip could be bothered to thank Bob for the excellent Amboise post

    Well said Frank

Well I suppose I may as well blog the latest trip to Spain as I cannot sleep these nights, so wish I was back in the sunshine.

Well it started badly on January 15th at Portsmouth docks were I was charged an extra £26 by Brittany Ferries because I told a wee porkie about my length, I booked the crossing as a 8mt m/h but on arrival they were measuring every m/h in the queue and I was actually 8.75mts  Rolling Eyes so that was the start of a long day.

We arrived at around noon so we could go and...

Woke to hooting owls and white covered fields with wild deer running and lots of Robin red breasts.....took some nice pictures then bacon grilled breakfast.....lovely  few days except we had to depart at 12 even though loads of empty spots as it's a narrow road in same road to depart.....so, strict time to adhere to and a shameful waste of half a Sunday ....which proved rather expensive as went to the range and spent far too much for a Sunday pm....but it was all for the van .....bought some cupboard organisers for the kitchen area in the van and very happy now with our new set up....also bought...

    Maiden voyage in new motorhome
We have just returned from a lovely few days in CC site Wharfedale we love the new van it was amazingly warm and very soundproof and a pure luxery with the island fixed bed..albeit a very different experience to what we were used to...had to adapt to crossing paths in the kitchen area a few times lol ( sure you all know what we mean lol )

Both have bD backs again due to the walking we did from camp into grassington...CC sites are always miles away from anywhere and buses do t run that often .

It was lovely to here the owls ..see bunny rabbits and unusual bird species ...
