OK yes we got a new to us van and very nice too but he needs a bit of love and money lavishing on his 31k miles and four point five years usage
I'm itching to get to work on the tasks to do but my job is getting in the way
First job when I get home at the weekend is to send off the V5C and V5C/2 that the previous owner has forwarded up to me. This will be accompanied by my transfer of private number t33 cno
I'll be updating this thread every step of the way of Robbie's transformation and there will be many many steps including photos

Another good job - I use my similarly placed window a lot for vision and also door window-especially at those angled junctions

Regarding payload, I've found my certificate of conformity and my mass in running order is 3205 KG so my payload is 1045kg

Labcraft LED upgrade

Old fitting removed and surfaces cleaned up

New fitting in place with sikaflex 512 along the top edge and 3 dollops on the bottom rail that takes the screws. I put masking tape along the top edge after marking the position with a pencil.
I pilot drilled 3 x 3mm holes in the GRP for the stainless steel screws (not supplied) Tighten it up and remove the excess adhesive and the masking tape. Beware of Rapido electrics, use a test meter, red is not necessarily positive! and certainly should not be used as a negative

I'm just waiting for a set of wheel storage bags to arrive. I can use one then for the spare to keep it clean and then I'll load it. Can also use the bag to drag the wheel around.

Good Idea that Andy, could you also have something that would cover the mechanism up from getting all the road crap from infecting it.

The mechanism will be covered by the wheel.

Both my coffee tables have a spare wheel otherwise it'd be on the carpet

I inherited a Rapido shelf that had a BIG U shaped cut out for the extract duct which really rendered it useless.
I cut it up and reinvented it to be of good service using bits of aluminium angle drilled and tapped and for the latest divider addition, angle with double sided tape.
The soup bowls go on top of the saucers normally and our pot tea mugs go there.

I took a gamble with these off ebay and at first I thought I'd cocked up but it turned out well in the end.
The grey waste was the stumbling block but with a modification to the mounting bracket it just fits.
2 8mm holes to drill for each side but these are right t the end of the chassis and won't cause any weakness.

Very similar to the legs I've got at the rear end on both sides.

We were looking at a pair of them Andy to put on Helga.  Are they sturdy, as Mick is still thinking about them.  I think its the fact that they concertina into themselves.

Yes they're sturdy, seller said they're 5 ton rated (pair). I can lift the van but it's not good practice as it affects handbrake tension.

I've got a spare pair in the shed for my hymer that I could sell they're for merc chassis but don't know if they fit fiat or not?.

These fit to the rear jacking points, the internal width of the mounting bracket on the steadies is 1"&3 quarters or 30mm aprox.
