Easter at Weston Park - 17th to 22nd April

Come and join us for 5 nights at Weston park, Weston-Under-Lizard, Nr Shifnal, Shropshire, TF11 8PX

Arrive Thursday 17th, leave site Tuesday 22nd.
We need 10 units for this meet
£9 per van per night + a one off payment of £5 for the transport show, plus the usual £1 per person rally fee
Water + Elsan, no EHU
Every year at Easter they hold the "Midland Festival of Transport" so on top of the rally fee's there will be a payment of £5 per vehicle for entry.
Event Description: Regulars need no introduction to the No. 1 Easter Event in the UK, now in it's twenty sixth year for this popular and super show which features over 1500 vehicles, 18,000 visitors, large autojumble and trade-stand area. Funfair, Simulators and Inflatables plus various activities in the main Arena.

Access - The Shrewsbury lodge gate (main entrance) should be used for all rallies. Any day visitors to the rally will have to pay the entrance fee and use the public car park. All entrance gates are normally locked between 11:00pm and 07:00 am.
There is strictly no access to the woodland bounding the rally site

According to this site, Shrewsbury lodge is the one in the top left hand corner of the map we posted

Just done a bt more checking and that is Shrewsbury lodge, this is the view if you come down the A5 from Telford (most, if not all of us would be coming the other way)

Sorry Ken, but your arrow is pointing to Hatch Lane and the entrance is in Mill Lane opposite Hatch Lane, thats if I have it right.

Nah, the tip of the arrow is pointing to that little blue sign thats in your pics   

It says Mill lane on the floor where I have written entrance

OK not split hairs Ken, but your picture clearly states Hatch Lane never mind whats written on the road that we cannot see unless it's pointed out to blind pensioners.

Talking of that, I wish they'd put a button on it so you can hide it, it's a pain in the butt when your using Goggle maps, it takes half the screen up

We won't be arriving until Friday and will have to leave BH Monday      Work is such a dirty word!

We will be there on Thursday as we will be at regal furnishings Thursday AM for some new foam in a couple of the seats, should have had them done when we had the new upholstery but thought it was not required, "wrong"

Yes Mark, I having been rubbing it with goose fat and it works great, just wish all these ruddy dogs would stop following me.   

Weather report is excellent for this weekend so we should get some decent outdoor socialising done, need some volunteers to erect the roamers inn Thursday/Friday so Ken has somewhere to have a quite guinness    when he arrives lateish Friday.

Hi Ken

Is there lots to do at Weston Park, or would it be a good idea to bring the car so that we can explore?

If we do bring the car, can we go off site and come back and do we have to pay the entrance fee, like their website says?

Are there monsters in the woods surrounding the Rally Field, and is that why we must not enter              

I've never been but wouldn't say there is "lots" to do, I think they are manned gates, so if you told them you are on a rally and you are just nipping out for shopping I wouldn't think they would charge you for parking, can't see caravan owners staying on site all the time and paying each time they enter.
I assume the woods are private
