£47 if you are arriving on Thursday
£44 if you are arriving on Friday

Water and Elsan, NO EHU, generators allowed between 8:00 and 22:00 and ideally no more than 2 hours at a time.

We are going and will volunteer to be sheriff, will need guidance though. 

We have not made our minds up about this show yet as we have had some bad times there due to weather conditions over the years, but if we do decide to go I can assist you in the sheriffing bit.

Quicksam have help marshall at Peterborough years ago and we went the day before the public - Wednesday - supposedly to mark out the field. 

Further if the club members made so many bookings the Marshall went free.  It is worth asking.

As we only live a few miles from Peterborough Cal, we usually attend as a day visitor.  Get there early and leave late (depending on weather).  Not sure what day we will be going yet, but Saturday looks most likely.  Perhaps we can meet up at one of the food stalls

We have been to Rutland camping several times and its a great place to go especially if you like cycling. The site you mentioned is that the caravan club site. We normally stay on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] which has great views but only water and CDP. Hope to meet you at Peterborough we will probably go the same day as Cheryl.

It's a "No go" for me on this one   
Holiday cover from 16th April through to 2nd May (which I really wanted off so I don't have to arrive at Rother valley sat morning    )

Looks a great place and very reasonable cost as well compared to the £18.50 per night at the CC site but no EHU is a problem for me as my wife tends to feel the cold (medication I think), I have a generator, no problem there but disturbing others is a pain.
Love to meet up with both you and Cheryl, we are booked in with Motor homers on the site, sounds as if (at the moment) not that many are going.

Understand about your wife feeling the cold and needing EHU but it's quite a big field and you wouldn't disturb anyone there.

We did think of staying at the show but have done it many times before so will stay at CLs before and after linking the 2 Homers rallies.

Oh so it's quite a large area then Jan, thanks for letting me know, I will probably book that as it's nearer to the water where I can watch the birds and take photographs.
Trouble I have found with CL's is that you (often) end up miles from nowhere with no one around, which is great if that's what you like but I prefer to be somewhere with people around so I can accost them and engage in trivial and boring conversation until their eyes glaze over (at this point they usually leave early).
I see you are "linking" two rallies, which is the other one please?

The CL is nice and in the same lane as the entrance to Lyndon Top. The CL is on the left with Lyndon Top on the right but the CL doesn't have any views of Rutland Water. There is a visitor centre for Rutland Water a but further down the lane but it is a small hill and if you don't cycle you can walk around the water but it is 21 miles all the way around. We have cycled it in the days when we were fit.

We are going to the Homers rallies at Weston Park, Shropshire at Easter then May BH is at Rother Valley, Sheffield.

Thanks for the information Jan, I of course will jog the 21 miles.  Sounds like you are getting about OK, lots of miles there, we are going to Cheshire Food Festival, 23 nights in Rutland and on to Peterborough, leave there and then into Norfolk to see family, my roots are there, born and bred.

Yes we do get about. We have just come back from Norfolk one of our favourite places and we go there every year. This time we stayed at Fakenham racecourse on a THS but visited Wells, Cromer and Kings Lynn.

Whereabouts do you go to?

These are all old stomping grounds for me as I was born in Docking.

I went to Hunstanton Sec. Mod school, a nightmare bus journey of an hour twice a day for four years, motion sickness has plagued me since childhood but the rattly old coaches, bumpy country roads and poor suspension didn't help, it's a wonder that I grew up to be 6 foot 3 inches because of my lack of food.
I like the A149 coast road, King's  Lynn round to Cromer and all the bird watching places along there, we are often in Wells when in Norfolk, happy memories of Sunday school outings to the beach there.  My friend was on holiday (cottage in Snettisham) and said the shingle bank at Cley-on-sea was gone as a result of the recent storms and much damage to other reserves along the coast, shame.

We saw lots of storm and sea surge damage whilst up there. Sandbags still out in Wells and they were mending the sea walls in Cromer.

No, not all but I can see why you ask as I ambiguously wrote "any list", just the Peterborough one for now please.  Sorry to have poked my nose in and started a list, didn't know there was one started already.
