Christmas Party at Lady Heyes 14th/16th Dec

First topic message reminder :

There will be a Christmas meet at a venue tessajoe found for us, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] from the 14th /16th December this is an alternative event to the TnT event which is a solely Motorroamers event (and as far as I am aware is still going ahead, so if you had booked with them you will be entitled to go on that meet).

I require a quick response to the amount of members wishing to attend this venue so the booking arrangements can proceed as soon as possible to avoid further disappointment. We will need to know how many are going to see if we can negotiate a discount, but in the event the price will be £15 p.u.p.n. + £1 rally fee p.p. the meal will be as at cost.

There is loads to do at this venue, we will of course have EHU, hardstanding and all the usual refinements of a top quality campsite, please look at the link above for all the info on the site, please add you names below if you are interested.

Is it possible to have a vote tomorrow afternoon, when most of us will be there. Does this give the manager enough time to get the staff in early or do the staff work all day ?

Think we will have to decide then anyway, don't think everyone will see this at such short notice, Bob's going to see the restaurant manager in the morning, we will know more then.

I must remember to put beam benders on the French headlights for UK, it was too cold today

Don't think you need beam benders for the UK.
Euro headlights go up and down, not flicking to the side as the UK ones do.

We won't have too many in the pub in the afternoon, so you'll catch up easily enough ! :-x

Wrong my friend that's a myth
Mine kick up to the right.
The previous owner actually had headlight protectors on with beam benders positioned for right hand drive headlights lol totally counter productive BUT he did say he never drove in the dark

We learn something new every day .

If you study my left hand drive reflectors the blank qaudrant (responsible for the kick) between 3 and 6 oclock is at 6 to 9 oclock on uk headlights

Best thing to do is park facing a wall in the dark with them turned on

The're polished so well they'll dazzle oncoming drivers with the reflection ..

I wish the van was that shiny
I threw the headlight protectors in the bin

All packed up and ready for off, just waiting for the grafter to finish work
Just plugged the leccy in and stuck the heater on so should be nice and warm when we are setting off

Not so Pete. If you read the thread they're part of my most important preparation for getting there in the dark and just as on topic as beeenz

Thank you all for a great night it was a super success and a special thank you to Peter for making it so special taking over from Mick who unfortunately could not make it due to illness.

Mr and Mrs was so funny and it was nice too have come 1st just ahead of Frank n Margaret.

Another big thanks to Frank for his superb secret Santa presentation it was so funny, although we where not sure what he had in his pants pics later when Ken gets time to upload them
