Looking at seeing when the Motorhome MOT and service are due or the earliest I can take her in

Car and Motorhome both need insuring in May actually both on the 25

The good note is road tax are at different times but the car is only £20 for the year

To help you spread the cost a bit Polly, vehicles can be MOT'd up to 28 days before the due date.

I know the money still has to be spent.

If you look at your MOT certificate it will tell you the earliest date that you can present your vehicle and preserve your aniversary date.
Getting it done early also means that if it fails your MOT is still current so you can still drive it (UNLESS a major issue) 
You can also MOT a vehicle anytime you wish if you are not bothered about losing time on your current certificate, this can be usefull if going abroad and your MOT will run out while there.
