Try this trip Planner it show you exactly where you will be going anywhere in the world, great for seeing up problems and for finding sites and place to stop HERE
I had it on my old PC but had forgotten about it, just enter all or any part of a trip, select speed and look at where you're going.

Great for sussing out any places your unsure of like entering/leaving ports or for looking at Aires and campsite entrances, as well as for routing

Works better with Google Chrome, then follow these instructions Enter details in FROM then To then create, and then start, alter speed as required

I entered a route and saved it but there was no start button. Using it on my ipad do you think that's why?

Possibly Jan as to run it you need Google Earth Plug in ,and I think that is only available on Windows and Mac OS

I had the same problem getting it to work until I downloaded the Google earth plug in
Works ok now

on pc,couldnt get to work on ipad but still trying .

Do not try it on too fast a speed and use full screen so you get a good picture. Pause and look around a given spot your interested in then you can make a mental note or written one for future reference.
