the time is 14 minutes past 10 and we in sunny Stockport have just had 1/2 hour of thunder lightening and heavy rain/hailstone ---- just been to let izzy out as it as stopped and I thought we had a covering of snow so we have had our heavy snowfall that was predicted---will let you know tomorrow if we have had any more through the night

Went to bed last night and there was a snow blizzard outside , got up this morning and paths and all are dry and a clear sky , thought we was going to have a covering of snow

Beautiful morning here if a wee chilly, grand day for a nice walk along the pair or the Kings garden.

Only another two and a half weeks to go then Bob- never been so rough in my life! And all the family have it apart from Pauline who is rushing from place to place tending the sick grandchildren - who kindly passed it on in the first place

After a beautiful start this morning we set of for a walk along the pier and didn't get far before the gods of winter descended us, hail stones the size of golf balls (well a bit smaller but they were big) battered us within seconds, then freezing rain and a very chilly northerly blowing around the nether regions.

We sheltered in one of the viewing places and waited to make a run for the car parked on the promenade and then eventually got a clear spell, so after a mad dash we made it and ended up walking around Tesco, god its a sad life we lead.

Pete only just getting over it so hang in there mate and you will be good for Kieghley

Snow flakes the size of 10p pieces falling here

Hope Mick has remembered his sun cream - it's 23 degrees here on Faro Island.....

back and I have just finished steam cleaning my oven --prefer the oold fashion way cleaning materials and elbow grease spent more time cleaning up after myself anyway going to have cheese on toast for my lunch now

Gales have calmed down now, looking like it could be a nice day albeit cold.
Today I will be sorting out the mountain bikes cables, brakes & fluids etc...as will be taking these to spain thiis time.also I want to give the satellite dish a good greasing.

All these wasted days means I'm miles behind on preparations for the things I need to do over the next few weeks
Insurance renewal arrived yesterday from Aviva £363 for both cars-not too bad but will see if I can get it a bit cheaper

I am going to wait a bit longer before I have a clear out ,till we have finished with a load of the winter stuff we carry, then look at space for

Back from Doctors-listed all my ailments and guess what - he gave me nothing! - other than to rest, keep walking and use a hot water bottle

just back from Asda and coming down of the ceiling also been for petrol that was like a car park

anyway for the last 2 1/2 weeks been trying to buy Grants lt bottle of whiskey on offer for £17.50 at Asda but no stock so I e mailed them and they sent me a £5 gift card for my petrol.
So I have just been in Asda and yes they have Grants in and Yes it is not on offer infact it is £21 so it as gone up.

I have just phoned customer services at Leeds and told them my tale so now they are sending out another £5 gift card


oh now my next bootle or 2 will only cost me £16 each


then I went to Tesco for petrol and positioned myself in the que but the lads in the front 2 cars thought they were on a day out infact I thought they were going to have a picnic at one stage

How do you rest while you are walking and what do you put in the hot water bottle Pete

Barb had to go for a mammogram this morning at 09.00hrs and she does not do pigtails, so she was not happy at the time they gave her, also she wasn't looking forward to it either.

All done so now the waiting.

Rest one part of my body ,exercise another and put the hot water bottle on the third Baza-can you guess the parts?- exercise easy but keep the others clean

No problems for Pauline then
