| Does anyone on here have 15" tyres on their van? Are you plated at 3200 or 3500? _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The 195's are rated same as mine 104/102 so not high enough They don't do a 205/70 which would be ideal for me They do a 215 at 109/107 but that,s maxing the width for my rims and about 7mm too big Looking into Michelin Agilis+ as they don't do a CP in my size _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Yeah!!! Pirelli have replied and they have a tyre that will fit my needs 205/70R15 C 106R TL Pirelli Chrono 2 SVTech called today, confirmed that I do need to change the tyres, asked if he knew of any and he told me a lot of the new vans now have 205/70/15 with a load rating of 109 - I can't find them, think he's getting mistaken with 16", do they still put the boxer and fiat on 15's? Pirelli Chrono 2's will do though, just in the limit with 106 and a diameter within tolerance for the uprate _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

I've struggled finding tyres to get up to 3500kg They also asked if I wanted to uprate the rear axle to 2000kg, I declined, I'd never find tyres for that, best I can find is 106's rated for 950kg (1900kg Axle) _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| OK Helga's tyres have the following information. I only looked at one but am presuming that they are all the same! MICHELIN X Radial 215/70 R 15 O Max Load Single 1030Kg 2270lbs at 550 Kpa 80 psi Cold + Max Load Dual 975kg 2130lbs 80psi cold. This makes absolutely no sense to me, but I hope it does to you Ken. | |

| Cheryl didn't say she had 80 psi in? She just relayed the info off the tyre wall and 80 psi is the max pressure. If you have 60 front you must be on 16" wheels? and 65 rear is in FOUR tyres | |

| Not if it is fully laden. A tyre loading is based on it's max pressure. If you carry less load you have a lower pressure. If I carried the full 2400kg on my rear axle I would need 80 psi YOU have 4 tyres on the back | |

| PS - you will find that something running on twins, the pressure is not that much different from something running on singles, probably 5 to 10 psi _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

I've just gone through all this Bob and it opened my eyes to what things used to be to what they are now, been in contact with Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone and Continental. Changed loads of wheels/tyres on cars, know (knew) how to calculate what sizes would fit even with changing wheel sizes, you can still do it but with tighter margins, and don't go off the tyre width as definate, a Michelin 205 is actually 217 wide _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| And this is how its done The simple formula they use is A=B*(C/D)^1,25 A = the pressure you want to know B= The reference pressure of the tire( on the sidewall At 250kPa for normal car tires 290kPa(2,9bar) for XL extra load tires, and C-tires mostly 450kPa) C= the actual weigt on the tire D = the maximum load of the tire ( load index or in KG or LBS on sidewal ) ^1,25 is a bit difficult 4^2 is 16 means square 4 , there is a tab for on jour calculator X^Y. To calculate back to the weigt the formula is C= D( A/B)^0,8. Simples _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |
