GARMIN NUVI NEED TO UP DATE MAPS HELP PLEASE

Hi guys and gals need to up date my garmin nuvi been on line 49 .99 any one found free or cheaper way as we keep geting lost night mare when in spain

As few people need tomtom update any one now about cheap updates for my garmin

I bought lifetime maps for Garmin.

For TomTom I use community updates only (map share)

Think Pete has a Garmin so he may know, as for TT I pay yearly for my updates think its £37 for 4 full European maps, it's been a pig since it crashed on the way out and had me going into places Baza did not like will do it when I am home but then I may invest in a new one as this one is 5 yrs old and will do for the car.

Thinking of this chesper than up dste pos

my garmin cost about $70 to update last time- about £46 at the time but obviously depends on exchange rate

Cheapest we found 49.99 but/6 yearsold now if we up date still old does not do full post code

I paid £74.99 for lifetime maps for my Garmin Nuvi 465T

Tomtom are giving free lifetime updates at the min with some devices, and free travel info for 3 year

But to be honest Mick I wouldn't bother buying the lifetime maps for it if its 6 year old, the lifetime is for the sat nav not you
You might pay the £75 and the sat nav packs up next week, £75 wasted,

Had my last sat nav about 4 year and never updated it apart from the free "next map" update that came with it, paid £100 for it so that works out at £25 per year.
Roads don't change that much and unless your a white van man doing door to door deliveries personally i don't think there is need for most of us to update 4 times a year or even yearly, most of the changes are new address's, works premises Etc
4 years old and it recognised every postcode I ever put in it, dare say it would have struggled a few times if I was working for Royal Mail

PS - I have just bought a Tom tom with free map updates, I wouldn't have paid the extra £75 or so for it though

Brought this one 6 years ago 198.00 it was on hill they seen me comeing but now i know all you nice people to put me right

Watch the prices for a bit Mick, I watched the one I wanted go down by £40 and now its gone back up £50 in a clearance sale (how does that work lol), just bought it at the right price, read they are selling a lot of stock off as new models coming out soon - don't know how true that is
