Another lovely start with blue sky - forecast for slightly warmer today although Allen ( wints) did say it was 29 c in the shade behind his van yesterday!!

Need to find supermarket today and stock up - pulled into one yesterday and got to entrance to find 2.5 m height barrier!!!

Off home today, had a great few days met up with friends tues &last night had fish & chips at the Milford chippy, finished evening off with a few beers.

Busy with housework today and ironing (in this heat  ) but its got to be done or no clothes for Ambleside.

It's only 22 degrees at the moment with a nice cooling breeze so its much more bearable.

Been out picking broadbeans this morning, very good crop this year.

Well we are now on the 3rd wave of students, we have another 2 arriving today, 1 leaving on Friday, then another replacing him for a month... .
As for the weather looks like its come to end for the moment getting some of the wet stuff today.

Did have a read first and I do like it when a book is a follow on. Why, cause then my brain starts to work remembering the characters from the previous  book that I read about 12 months previous

I have just had my arm twisted by my son to go for a bike ride probably 20 miles knowing him  .
Still a lovely day for it!.

Hope you wore your sun cream Mark.  It is very sunny and hot here today.

Put a bit on my face, but wore a cap it was 27 here today & he got me to cycle 15 miles

Good morning all, nice fine start and not bad until the weekend weather wise. Off to see our Great Granddaughter and the rest of the gang for a couple of days, really looking forward to seeing them all.

Had a security issue with PayPal overnight with someone trying to hack my a/c but their security and mine managed to stop it, but changed all my security details this morning so keep an eye on yours if you have one.

Bit misty here this morning, just been out to cut the grass, now waiting for onslaught of grandkids   .

Off to Beaumaris castle for tonights stop then might go and bug Polly Sunday or Monday night!

No Steve, we both need to do some more exercise and walking so it gives something to concentrate on when we do instead of whinging about the aches and pains. Brian n Lisa got us interested and we found our first one yesterday so now have the bug.

Well back to work today until September got 4 weeks contract, we are now down to 1 student & Julie is working hard as well.
Looking forward to getting away sept & oct for our second European stint then off to Devon before the winter sets in.
Hoping to get to the xmas meet this year as long as Julie can get the time off work.

 

Where to on your European stint .. any plans ?

Depends on the weather really John, if ok will stay north, but if not probably south of France but haven't decided anything yet...listen to me I sound like a real motorhomer

last night as the local waste plant(not the council one) at junction 25 was or still is on fire.
Lucky for us the wind must have been blowing away from us so windows could stay open
The morning is looking grey though not sure if it is to do with the fire or weather.

Second fire at the plant in 3 years

Recycle plant is smouldering and word is could be a couple of days 

But on the whole weather as bucked up

Started another puzzle ------I know shouldn't have done as now will not get anything done

Oh think I will go Hoover the motorhome out and the lad next door said he would polish it for me but the question is for how much
