Another lovely start with blue sky - forecast for slightly warmer today although Allen ( wints) did say it was 29 c in the shade behind his van yesterday!!

Need to find supermarket today and stock up - pulled into one yesterday and got to entrance to find 2.5 m height barrier!!!

the mother of the lad next door as said he will polish my motor home

So I will go and get it washed

Then I will provide him with polish and cloths to do the front sides and back

So my question is how much do I pay him

He is a. 22 university student just back from doing summer camp at America and is not working

Polly even a m/h your size is a hard days work for anyone, if its to hot don't do it as the wax will harden before it can be removed, saying that I would willing pay  £50 for a good job, and mine is a big van.

Took Gladys for her wash had to go the long way round due to the smoke from the fire 

I live 5min from the place and we have had nothing accept last night big yellow smoke trail over the other street

But going up there toady the smoke and smell was awful

Anyway Gladys is now clean and gleaming  and booked Josh in for when is next time off unni maybe Oct

He as now gone stripping for Suzanne  sorry forgot wallpaper stripping. 
This is it he as nothing then suddenly word of mouth and he gets a couple of jobs
He will be able to go on the raz tonight

Morning Campers

We have had rain for most of yesterday and all night.  It has at last stopped, but more is predicted throughout the day.

We are off to Twinwood Music Festival for the day, not sure how long we will last if its ankle deep in mud and raining!  Got some 1940's style clothing to wear, but, did they wear wellington boots back then?

Off out today to celebrate our sons girlfriends 30th birthday today, then taking her for a slap up meal tonight.

Just had a 4 hour visit to Blackburn Royal Hospital with Adele  
All that and come away with some anti-biotics which the Dr could have prescribed her

Last student leaving today, Julie's working all day, I'm working all next week for the final week for a few weeks, then were off!!.
Tonight were off to a party, then tomorrow we have the family over for Julie's dad's birthday. Phew!.

Good morning all, great day yesterday and a lovely evening with family, got a full day with all the family today, and a special time with our pocket dynamo Katelyn-Mae she is a real treat to be around. 
Off into Conkers for fun and games so we will need a good rest after this weekend.

Good afternoon all.

Not been on net much for the last month or so.  During that time I have had flu, then went for annual CCC THS rally at Fraisthorpe. Came home to finish friends 50th Wedding Anniversary cake and then helped them celebrate at the weekend.

I have decided to keep present motorhome and have purchased a solar panel and fittings for the roof. Just to have it fitted now.

Doctors this morning and then MOT for car this afternoon-could be an expensive day
Pauline had her repaired car back yesterday -all seems ok

Just realised motorhome needs MOT this month so rang a friend up who tests class 7 and he may be able to Test van this afternoon. His garage isn't too far from the east coast so may manage a walk on the beach:D 

Me too - car Mot is due - must arrange appointment.

Finally finished work today all students have returned to they're native countries,  we are off to europe until the end of the month hopefully to see the last of the summer out.

Motorhome passed test but didn't get to walk on the beach as the tide was in:roll: 

Did hear that the sea off the east coast near Whitby has sharks and killer whales. 

Perhaps that is why Phil and David couldn't catch any mackrel.

May be Friday 13th but the sun is shining here at Bridlington

I am in Hitchin today as I am working for my Brother and Sister in Law at their firm of Solicitors.  It feels quite strange to have structure to my day after all these years of leisure.  Enjoying myself so far, but we have only just opened

The wind and rain forecast for Sunday was a bit of a non event here.  Was breezy with showers.

Another lovely day by the looks of it.

I am watching the neighbours dog this weekend 

Yesterday I tidied the garden taking out the dead flowers from my baskets and planted. Some daf bulbs
I will await the winter pansies for the baskets 

I went out to daughters for tea

Later today we are going shopping for winter coats for Ethan and Tilly think 3 hours should be enough.

Oh well must get me another cup of coffee but izzy is asleep on my knee.

Since returning from Europe (ha ha) she as taken to staying close to me

Spent 3 hours trolling through each store in Stockport.
Ethan and Tilly got there winter coats.
Good job it only comes around once a year

Shame it lasts for about 9 month though
