Another lovely start with blue sky - forecast for slightly warmer today although Allen ( wints) did say it was 29 c in the shade behind his van yesterday!!

Need to find supermarket today and stock up - pulled into one yesterday and got to entrance to find 2.5 m height barrier!!!

Afternoon all, very hot here in Singapore so looking forward to the pool shortly. Off to Oz tonight so a different sort of heat.

Failed MoT miserably - two broken road springs, £40 each + labour and two tyres £50 each.

and £40 for the MoT

Expensive motoring though, only did 1500 miles in it over the last 12 months.

Now I've got to tax it !!  

We should pay tax on the fuel like other European countries  ..... oh yeah forgot, we do that as well !!!

Off into town with the others to the market must get some baccy to take back as its cheaper here!!!.

Best place to get your baccy is in ardenkerke and okay in £'s as it works out loads cheaper than paying in Euros.

Why is it cheaper in £ s Sonja? ?.
We paid 6.40 euros per pouch for 50g golden Virginia but haven't found cheaper by the £.

We always buy amber leaf £4.33 last time there

Spent the last few days getting Henry prepared for the long winter months, have been going around the m/home with a fine tooth combe sealing any conspicuous fixings, screws etc...
Have also flushed tanks & found I need to put a new tap in the kitchen  , well after all he is 20 years young now!

But I think I will have to wait and see about that as I am a poor pensioner

Autumn is here!  Have peeled bags and bags of windfall cooking apples, stewed them and put them in the freezer.  Have callouses on callouses with all that peeling.

I haven't got a battery charger 
Just thought this was cumbersome amd not a bad price.
Thought it would be ok for checking van battery and maybe topping up in winter months

My little Nissan seemed to have lost her power over the last month.

Today went shopping and was thinking might have to have her checked out as I seemed to have my foot down yet not much power.

Suddenly thought about the car mat and something my son once said and yes the mat was under the peddle so stopping it from going down.

So I moved it away and wo and behold I have power

Think yourself lucky it was under the accelerator Polly and not the brake pedal   

big freeze here last night car covered in ice by 10.30 last day at work having Christmas this weekend with kids then away for three weeks .

 My daughter started her new job on Monday (she thought she might not be starting till the new year)

She had an invite to the Chritmas jingle which she refused as it was £45  but will go next year

She as had Chritsmas lunch and finishes on Monday till New Year and is paid in the process.
She also received a starter pack eg stapler pens, note books, next years diary, etc etc

Seems like a good company which it is as she worked there when she was pregnant with Tilly

Van is cleaned inside not outside and bedding washed and back in van 
Now ready for my next jaunt

I am going out for lunch later with my brother and wife before they wiz off to visit his sons and families in Wales and near Glastonbury then back up to Stockport for  Christmas with his step sons before they return to France

Almost there!
Was awoken during the night by the wind outside so had to look and check to see if things were okay- boats haven't sailed away so that's good and motorhome is still upright- not checked house yet

Had the 12v circuits all checked yesterday as half of the cicuit shut down just before the xmas meet   .
Turned out to be a short in the wiring loom, the electrician managed to rectify the problem within the hour so I can now repair it myself.
Off to see the nurse in a minute to have bandage changed for the 4th time on my finger.

Glad you enjoyed the willy willy, my wife is partial to it as well
