Another lovely start with blue sky - forecast for slightly warmer today although Allen ( wints) did say it was 29 c in the shade behind his van yesterday!!

Need to find supermarket today and stock up - pulled into one yesterday and got to entrance to find 2.5 m height barrier!!!

Number of motorhomes on my drive has increased -Mark our Chairman and Julie have  arrived for a few days
He hasn't asked to see the accounts -YET lol
Lovely sunny start so off to Dovedale later- well it is just down the road!

well back now with a nice glass of red, had a great day weather stayed nice all day we all had a coffee & a bakewell slice in Bakewell.
off out to Burton upon trent for a meal in a bit.

I can recommend The Coopers in Cross street if you want to try a proper pub !

We had already left so have only just seen yer post John...will try the pub next time!!.   

Used to go in there a lot - just had wooden beer barrels and jugged ales - no pipes to alter the true taste

Still has - went in on Wednesday to get my beer for the meal at the curry house next door  

Used to be the dole office next door! Lol

Think that's the car park for the pub and the curry house now !
Dole probably gets sent to Spain by post !  

The other pub to serve beer the same was the Bridge at Branston next to canal

Still sells Pedigree, but it's an Italian restaurant now !

No snow just here down the road from you.    and a cold breeze.

March is being true it came in like a lamb and appears to be going out like a lion.

The second part of the upgrade to the A1 is taking place in North Yorkshire and the serious part of the upgrade starts after the Tour De France, or should that be Yorkshire, in July.  However owing to objections the powers that be have had to change the plans somewhat and we are going to Catterick Racecourse, soon, to see the exhibition of the said plans.

Could think of better things to do on a Saturday that involves the motorhome 

Snow has gone, sun was out for a bit but now we have more hailstone   
I think this is why Lancashire abandoned this part of the country and painted all the roses in it white, that was used as a warning sign for us to keep out

Had a quick test flight this morning, still a bit breezy so didn't go too high as it was getting blown about a bit, just started snowing again as I am typing this, with a bit of luck we will get snowed in - no work = result   

I was just walking down the main street in Hawes when suddenly I got dragged to one side and thrown through a door, was a bit scary till I realised it was Mr Theakston, that old peculiar chap who dragged me in, might be a while

Bit more rain in the air first thing, slightly fuzzy head   unfortunately good things have to come to an end (we're movin on!) somewhere for a few nights before we head home.

Plenty of pubs in Hawes as you will have found. 

As I said before March is going out like a lion here.  This morning we woke to brilliant   Middle of the day brought hailstones, then sun, then more hailstones followed by snow. Now its very cold.

The house was sold next door just before Christmas and today the neighbours have gone. We now look to meeting new neighbours when they arrive. Wonder if they have a motorhome 

Yeah, was surprised just how many in such a small town.

oh well, back to the grind stone today, 5 shifts this week

Up early as granddaughter over - she woke up and didn't want to stay in bed -Pauline is even up !lol

 but very cold here.  Woke up to white fields covered in frost.  Suppose to get warmer in the week.

Gardener was coming to see to the grass but now under water so cancelled till the dry weather returns

Colin hasn't received his driving licence back yet and I have to have an interview for a passport  Was hard to tell what the foreigner who made the interview appointment was saying on the phone.

Wonder if someone has found some   fine weather and forgot to tell us. 

we've had a lovely day up here, albeit a bit cool. Took the van out to nowhere in particular, cos it needed some exercise ( honestly ) and finished converting two of the other interior lights to led's. It will be good to have an extra hour of daylight next weekend, the evenings seem to come in so quickly.

Bright sunny morning here but rain forecast later.  Wish I could get away in camper but Drs in the morning, another appointment late Friday, invited out Saturday  and Passport office Monday 

Thought retirement would be restful 

well we arrived SW of France into good sunny weather then  for a couple of days then our friends arrived on route back from the Algave heading slowly home back the UK....then we had several days of wind and rain BUT hey we are back in the sun again with no wind

Great pictures of the French contingent relaxing in the sunshine, you lucky peeps, enjoy.

I am at Burrs and been sunny but chilly and now it is raining.
I have put my tea in the gas oven and had a thought
If I was on electric and I had an elec oven wouldn't need to switch the gas on
So
If I found a little elec oven that would sit in my gas oven , would I be able to use it on elec and leave the gas oven door down?

That's as clear as mud
