| The has certainly come out to play here and I can't go away for more than a day because of various appointments. When I can get away in the van it will rain - typical. Still its nice to put the washing out on the line and it smells wonderful when brought in. | |

| Opened curtains and see a bright blue sky, pity everything was covered in frost. I'm gob smacked, walked to the doctors, about 3/4 of a mile away, saw doctor, he sent me to nurse for blood tests, also had to go for chest xray, so walked home, had a brew and some breakfast, drove 5 mile to the hospital, had xray and come home all in 2 and 1/2 hour, was expecting to be in the hospital that long at least _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| We get a choice now Pete, we can either go the the big hospital at blackburn which is about 5 mile away, just turn up between 08:30 and 16:30 and have the x-ray, or if you want to go the the local hospital in Accrington you have to ring and make an appointment, so I went to Blackburn, get it over with, saves jiggling appointments with work and days away etc. Blood taken by the nurse at the doctors. Waiting time now though, hospital told me it might take up to 14 days for results to get back to the Dr, so appointment made for the 26th _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

Looking a bit damp out there. 1 night shift left, decided we are going to Hawes for 4 nights Not far from me Ken. Are you going to Brown Moor? Not recommended to access the A684 from the M6 unless you are familiar with narrow twisting roads. We use the B6255 via Ingleton although that is narrow in places but scenic run. Don't forget to go to Wensleydale cheese for a meal. Haven't been able to get in at the weekends but you should be ok in the week.

| Ken almost forgot if you haven't been to Hawes before you should go up past Simonstone Hall and on to the Buttertubs pass towards Keld. This is one of the road the Tour de France bikes are taking in July. Don't go down to Keld unless your sure the motorhome will pull back up the hill/mountain. I have done it in a recovery truck and it is hard work for the engine. Some of the A684 and surrounding roads are closed while they are being repaired for the bike race. I think Reeth is affected just now. Oh and don't forget your camera. You will need it to take pics of Gods Country. | |

Joyce just had a look on google maps do not think I will be going anywhere near that area in Buffy, shame really it is beautiful. Bob Colin went over in 8leg Scania and recovered a coach that hadn't quite made it up the hill from Keld. I went over in 12t Renault and recovered a motorhome back in to the Hawes direction. Buffy should be ok just tell Barbara not to look over the edge cos you can't see the bottom of the tubs. Story is the farmers use to store their butter down there, [because it is very cold] to take to market once a week.

Spent the afternoon from 1-30 to around 6-00 at the local hospital with our George and his mum Plaster removed and now a boot and physio tomorrow (Now I know why we have retirement )
Doctor told him that the brakes were bad one was going across and the other was up? Not sure what he meant. But he told George no racing for at least 6 weeks or sports , he also said that if he did and did damage to his foot he could be looking at at least 12 months out so let's hope that sunk in Oh well I am on the physio run tomorrow Have to ask about swimming as his mate as an indoor heated pool Not bad
