Yes Joyce even Adele told me to pull up and stay over somewhere Not been in that kind of traffic for years
Mind you we were stuck just as we went passed a slip road to get of just round the bend was the bumper to bumper traffic till the next slip road which was the round about where it had been made into a single lane instead of 3 to the next roundabout which was near and that was a one lane but the men were working on the roundabout.

Breezy here this morning but dry.
Mark it started raining Sunday afternoon but we didn't have the forecast gales. Believe the worst of Bertha has missed us and hit the east coast regions with a caravan site at Scarborough being flooded. Hope no one has been hurt.

| Back home following what turned out to be a small unarranged Homers meet at Fraisthorpe.
Peter we did not get the storms you suffered on the south coast but we did have rough seas on Monday through to Tuesday. Apparently there were large crabs and lobsters washed up on the beach on Wednesday morning. Unfortunately the seagulls got to them first.
Just the washing to do, restock the van with food oh and some paperwork to do and then ready for the off again early in September.

| Good morning Homers The children go back to school on Tuesday here and the weather forecast says summer weather is returning. No change there then. Just for a change went back to work yesterday and did an accident recovery. Someone must have had their holiday head on because they drove straight out in front of a wagon. They were airlifted to hospital whilst the wagon driver was checked out ok. He said he was shaken but not stirred. So had retained his sense of humour. | |

Hi Mark Exactly the same here, where it's always grim up north, rain and more rain early on, but by 2pm warm sunshine, bit breezy though. Just fitted a £3 (expensive eh?) car boot sourced cd / radio in the van....it's a temporary fix while I look for a better one with probably a usb port etc. Next job....led strips to replace the fluorescents, already replaced all the spots. regards Allen

Spent this morning on the other phone trying to sort it out. Fed up of listening to piped music. Sunny but breezy here and the temperature is dropping.

| Make your house brighter—trim the bushes around your windows and keep your blinds and curtains open during the day. Use bright colors on walls and light-colored upholstery. Get up early to take advantage of as much daylight as possible. If possible, sit near a window stay away from dark places ie under the sheets.dont wear dark clothing.do all this and you will be cured. please send your 25 dollars to above adress.giovanni. | |

| Good Morning Homers
Raining here at the moment but supposed to dry up later.
Have been interviewed on the radio this morning regarding a Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation [CPR] course run locally by Radio York and British Red Cross which I attended some years ago. Was asked if I had used any part of the course since - which I have.
We came across an accident in the very early hours one morning near Dundee. A car was on the wide grass verge with a screaming female passenger and the driver was in total shock just staring into space. The car had been hit by a wagon the driver was hobbling down the road to see if they were still alive. Had to call the emergency services and get the wagon driver into a warm vehicle because he was in shock. Colin disconnected the car battery as we couldn't gain access to the car.
Then there was the accident which occurred in front of me when waiting at a road junction to turn right. The injured man phoned me when he left hospital to thank me for helping him.
For quite some time I have been saying that CPR should be taught in schools as it is a life skill. Well someone must have been listening, because today 12000 secondary school children in North Yorkshire are being taught CPR by the British Heart Foundation and Yorkshire Ambulance Services.
