Postcode for navigation – LA22 0EE. On Rothay Road, Ambleside, follow the sign for ‘Miller Bridge Car Park’ and this will bring you to the entrance gate.

Secure motorhome camping in the centre of Ambleside, based on the European ‘aires’ system. We have 25 hard-standing pitches which are open all year round and a further 30 seasonal grass pitches. Our facilities are limited to a fresh water supply, toilet emptying point and secure camping within a two minute walk of all the amenities that Ambleside has to offer; supplies, groceries, fuel, bars, restaurants, walks, lake, village park with playground etc……….




CHARGES £7.00 / Van / Night
Regardless of the size of van or number of occupants

No admissions after 9.00pm, departure by mid-day please.
Dogs are welcome on site but must be kept under control at all times.
Generators may be used but please show consideration to other site users, DO NOT use before 10.00am or after 8.00pm.
BBQ’s and fire buckets may be used as long as they are not placed directly on the grass or close to any vans.
For security reasons it is important that the main gate remains locked at all times except for your arrival and departure.

I am setting a 14 van limit on this meet for now, reason is, the site has just opened a new area which will hold 14 vans and he is planning on us using this area, If we do get 14 or more I will start a reserve list and contact him to see what arrangement we can come up with, it might be a case of just parking away from the group.
Arriving early or staying on
There is no problem if you want to arrive earlier than the 25th or stay on a bit longer, but please note that the rally is for 4 nights, 25/26/27/28th, any stays other than these dates will be charged at normal prices of £10 per night.
Entry
On arrival you will find the entrance gate is locked by a combination padlock, I will supply the code for the lock nearer the time - enter the code then press the button on the base of the lock and it should spring open. Ensure the gate is locked behind you then get set up in the designated rally parking area (which will be signed).

As far as arriving a little earlier is concerned that will be no problem at all, however, please make those concerned aware that since it will be out of the organised rally dates the charge will be the standard £10.00/night.

sorry mick would loved to have made both these meets but its work work work at the moment & we don't have a spare 2 or 3 weeks available at the moment

Mel (Heyupluv ) says if there is to be a boules match will I please donate a packet of humbugs on his behalf for the winner.

He did add to make sure we ate half of them first, he may live in France now but he has Yarkie written right through to the marrow

If you and Mick are getting boules practice in at Kendal there may have to be a handicap system put in place

Another smashing rally, our thanks to Mick & Pam for their hard work making it so successful. A great curry, a good walk (we didn't even get lost) and some fun games.

It was also great to catch up with old friends it looks very empty now we are left on our own.

Hi folks, we are also home after a very successful 3 meets and we would like to thank everyone who joined us at the meets, especially Mike n Pam and Bailey for the rally duties, the great curry evening and the fun and games. 

Thanks Peter for the use of the event shelter and sorry we did not hear you taking it down this morning, (don't think I would have been much help anyway  ) 

Once again thank your for your very generous contributions at all the meets and we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did, safe journey home too all and hopefully see you all soon.

Hi All

We are home and all unpacked now.  M6 was still clogged when we travelled it this afternoon so took the toll road, the Caravan Club discount worked a treat - £5.50 the same as a car - no hastle at all.

We too had a great weekend and it was lovely to see you all again. Special thanks to Mike and Pam who put so much effort into the weekend - fab curry, fab walk, fab games and fab company  

Parked in the wrong place at Sandbach services due to bad signage and think we may have a £90 fine heading our way - ouch!  Will have to wait and see what comes through the post    It was such a good weekend though, wouldn't miss it for the world.

I just uploaded a couple of photographs to Photobucket, with views of the rally and Lake Windermere from the top of the mountain, and tried to post them here. Apparently, as a new member, I cannot do this for 7 days
