Bridlington Meet, Wilsthorpe - 6th to 16th July

We have decided to put a limit of 40 vans for this meet, we know they won't all be there at the same time but if we need to use the event shelters (we usually do) there won't be enough space to fit everyone in

10 nights arrive on 6th leave site on 16th.
Price  £6.50 per unit per night  plus usual £1 per person rally fee.
We have a skip on site and ask members to contribute £1 per person (Max of £2 per unit)

Thursday 6th - Get together - chit chat
Friday 7th - Fun quiz
Saturday 8th - Kim's Quiz - Football card
Sunday 9th - The famous Motor-Homers tray race!
Monday 10th - Bingo
Tuesday 11th - Jimbohorlicks Charity Auction (afternoon) Chinese raffle in the evening
Wednesday 12th - Lottery bonus ball - Under the chair Prize (Tried it at Marbury and promise it's not biscuits)
Thursday 13th - Boules (weather dependent) Play your cards right in the evening
Friday 14th - Bingo
Saturday 15th - Coffee morning - Scattering of Peters ashes in the evening followed by American supper in the event shelters
Sunday 16th - Close of meet

Rita and I would love to come to Bridlington again.  
We had a good meet last year, however, we have to be in Maastricht for the 15th July, so will be meandering our way across from Calais late June/early July. 

Have a good meet. We'll be thinking of Pete & Pauline (Leapy).

Any money raised at this meet will be donated to a charity of Pauline's choice ( probably St Giles Hospice but I will get confirmation of this soon)

Not long until the meet at Bridlington so can I ask about the event shelter[s] which were usually erected by Peter and Phil the day before or on the morning before members arrived.

Good questions but no idea.

I was only thinking I was booking people in, helping them park and telling them where the services are.

Re games etc, The one that Peter did last year , guessing the flavour of crisps. If we all bring a large bag of crisps that have unusual flaours we we can do a quiz with them. and then eat them all afterwards, lol

Field booked and confirmed by me a few week back.
I looked through all or paperwork this afternoon and found the skip company details and will be contacting them in the next day or two.
Paul Jollins has one of the event shelters and I have the other three so we will have four up at this meet, won't be erected the day before though

Also need names and registration numbers, number of nights staying, making sure that anyone that turns up is a member (2 turned up last year that weren't members, I registered them on site) collecting site and rally fees.
Do you want me to post the forms out to you Andy? Or could email them or just bring them when I come?

We will be there on the 6th to book anyone arriving between the 6th & the 8th.
sorry had no input on the meet as have not been able to log in whilst in europe over the last couple of months

Having not been to Bridlington meet in the past don't know the lie of the land, are there ehu points available where we are parked? I can bring a spare 25m cable...

The adjacent field that we walk across to the Elsan point is for Electric users and the hook ups are near the fence between us in the rally field.
I would have thought that an arrangement could be agreed for evening use.

Hoping to ghost in for a couple of days at some point, but nothing specifically planned.

The ehu field is for sole use of the sailing club members who come and go adhoc.  I believe someone once asked if we could use the ehu with a negative answer.  

But that was when the lady was running the site bookings, now I understand the field is run by the Sailing Club office so perhaps a gentle approach could be made.

We are not allowed to use the Sailing Club rubbish bins that is why Peter arranged rubbish removal with a local Bridlington company.  The first few years we used the site we were advised to take out rubbish home.  The bins between Regatta field and Bridlington were always full for those 10days.

Mick and Di [Silversurfer] usually attend the Bridlington meet but are not computer savvy.  Peter would put their name on the lists.  

Has anyone been in touch with them to see of they are attending.

Electric had been mentioned before and the answer was No, but there is another woman in charge now, still think the answer will be no but suppose it's worth asking.
I'll be speaking to Phil this weekend so will ask about Mike but it doesn't really matter, plenty of room if he does turn up
