EHU - YES

Cost per night - £13.00 but reduced to £12 if more than 10 vans attend
Fully equipped function room available with bar

Before I pay the deposit to the pub and give them the meal choices, are there anymore wishing to come along who haven’t replied yet replied to the Christmas menu messages?

Hi to all, we'll not be attending the Xmas meal in Longridge.
We both feel that the shuttle run, using a couple of cars and maybe thirty odd passengers, will be hard work. We're going to catch the bus into Preston, there's lots of pubs to choose from, even two W'spoons in town, hopefully Xmas food will be on the menu.

If it's on the bus route, we will be happy to go by bus.

Chocy Boy it’s not a problem, we are bringing our car anyway from our home in Norwich and I understand some older members will have free bus passes to take them around the district. It’s unfortunate that the local pub, The Grapes, is having a bigger refurb than they thought they were going to have, the other local wouldn’t sit us being so many. However, Paul found us an alternative which will sit us and we look forward to being with fellow members, some we haven’t yet met, and having a very enjoyable Christmas meal.

its not that far for us so we could take our car if it would ease the transport situation

We hope to tow our car to Whittingham ,  so I'll have room for 1 in the back with us  . Could always do another journey if  needed sat navs says it 10 mins away  so that's 20 mins round trip , so 40 mins altogether . Have got bus passes as well so we could go on bus if the buses run that way .

Thank you All who responded to the Christmas meal menu and for promptly giving us your choices along with your deposits. We have finalised the booking with The Dog at Longridge, paid the deposit for 24 of us and we look forward to an enjoyable afternoon.

A huge thank you to All motorhomers who have offered seats in their car, very much appreciate.

Info re our Christmas meet at Whittingham & Goosnargh Sports & Social Club, PR3 2JE. 

Christmas jumpers or tops at the ready

Starts:  Thursday 30th November
Arrival after 10am

Thursday the bar will open at 5pm and we can meet around 7-7.30pm for any members on-site wishing to do so.

Friday 1st, the bar opens at 5 pm, food is served until 8pm. The club are holding their Charity Masquerade Ball from 8pm till late but we can still use the bar whilst this is going on. Anyone who has purchased tickets don’t forget your party outfits and your masquerade masks. Tickets are still available at the club - £10 each.

Saturday 2nd our AGM will be held at 10.30am in the function room in the Clubhouse, all welcome to attend. Bring your cuppa and I will bring the mince pies.

Saturday our Christmas meal is The Dog Inn, Longridge and we are booked in for 3pm. Transport is available by means of our very kind members bringing their cars to take us there. For anyone wishing to do so, you can if you wish take your motorhome or if you have a bus pass that’s another alternative. One way or another we will have a good time. Once back at Whittingham and we’ve all relaxed after our Christmas meal it’s back to the Club to continue our Christmas meet in the function room. Probably about 7.30. 

We are not having raffle but instead we are doing a Secret Santa, so can I please ask that members bring wrapped in Christmas paper, two gifts per van one for female, one for male. Dale will do a Christmas quiz, and other games too - Bingo being one of them 🥴 Don’t worry she won’t be playing, phew I hear some say “ she always wins”. 

Sunday 3rd - Food served in the Club 4pm-7pm

Monday 4th - no rush to leave site

Graham, can I ask what price range we should be looking at for Xmas presents? I don’t expect people to go mad but at the same time I don’t want someone to end up with a load of tat.

Sorry to have to cancel this meet as we went away last weekend and our 240 rcd melted and never tripped out so waiting for a date when the dealer can get it in and repair it just lucky it never went on fire

Really sorry but we are going to have to cancel.  Put the fridge on yesterday, ready for loading, and it's stopped working.  Looks like we are in for a new front panel/pcb.  Tried to see if we could get it going but it's not having any of it.

Thanks for your kind offer but the cost of the panel/pcb is £300  and on it's way to us, so don't want to chance it arriving whilst we are not here.

Hi sorry it's late but we are unable to make this meet. Ive a chest infection that I can't get rid of.
I have managed to get a Doctors appoint for tomorrow afternoon.
I have to get out sorted because I'm off to Spain on the 12th.

Ok john you dont owe us any thing but unfortunately the deposit on meal is none refundable hope your ok for spain
