stayed around the estate as police etc are at the river and park looking for a missing 23 year old who went missing new years eve so sad as he was one of my kiddys at nursery and I know his mum and brothers

my ankle is still giving me pain so pain killers here I come

but the good news

was even lucky to sit outside the cafe with hot chocolate and a BIG slice of carrot cake

This is so sad and how his parents and brothers are coping I just don't like to think

the search is still on for 22 year old Michael Simpson who vanished on New Years Eve He sent a text to his girlfriend saying he was near a river and didn't know where or how he got there
there are 2 rivers around the area he was last seen and both are running high
this is what I saw in the local paper

A man is believed to have drowned after being swept past frogmen searching for missing reveller Michael Simpson.

Neil Marsom was floundering in the River Goyt when police divers already combing the riverbank spotted him. But they were unable to rescue the struggling man before he was dragged underwater.

Mr Marsom (38) has not been seen since and police believe he drowned.

this is so sad

Up early this norning as taking van for a service and need to be there for 8.30am

Morning , got my sore throat back again , so dont think I will d a lot today, dont know what weather we have , cant be bothered to open blinds and look

there there bazza got man flu good morning all up at 2 am this morning had good walk breakfast now get in van at weekend get some sleep

Back from garage-full service -ouch!

The rear wheel that seized and overheated whilst away also manged to ruin the bearings-replacement cost of bearing alone £186 -plus fitting -not done yet as none in stock!

That sounds painful Pete , very expensive bearing !! still its better its done now before it ceases and causes more damage

Even more painful is that I will have to have some new tyres before Spain

Having quickly looked on net -it may well be a sealed hub with bearing in- and of course you have to buy the lot!

Safety first Pete, cost never enters my head when that is the issue, still hurts the wallet though

Agree Bob -if you do the mileage you have to cover the maintainance-all part of your enjoyment



Here was me thinking that a couple of taper bearings fitted in 10 minutes would be easy!-its works on the boat trailers -obviously out of touch with more modern vehicles

well Izzy and her bark buster

jury still out on this BUT she is not barking as near as she was before

she doesn't have the collar on often she is just getting her courage back to go back on the front room windowsill and this is whee she sits and barks BUT she is just watching now
BUT I don't want to stop her barking completely

so time will tell

not sure if it was worth £30 though

she doesn't have it on all the time just when she is in situations in the home where she may bark

Izzy is sat on the front room windowsill watching the workmen over the road in there high vis jackets and hard hats going to and fro with objects of different sizes van doors have been sliding open and banging closed and all I have had off her is a little rising growl till I said no Izzy ---so all this would have had her barking and jumping about ---before she had wore her collar.
She as not got her collar on but she must remember I do have the collar at hand just incase and she does have it on at what I see as vulnerable times eg post man time and when we first went into the front room this morning
so it must be working

Good morning getting colder but lovely dry & sunny, off for a long walk along the beach with my lovely wife today and a spot of lunch.

Quite mild here and promise of snow in a day or two, off to the eye hospital this morning with Barb as she is having a small (hopefully) problem so I will take a book as I was in there on Tuesday for 4 hours
