7. 2014 Xmas Meet At Uttoxeter Racecourse 3rd to 8th Dec

First topic message reminder :

This years Xmas meet will be held at Uttoxeter Racecourse, Wood Lane, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, ST14 8BD
Plenty of room with hard standing and EHU
Arrive Wed 3rd Dec, leave site Mon 8th Dec, 5 nights
We have the use of a function room for 4 days - Thu-Sun
£16 per night, can reduce to £15.50 if more than 20 vans attending

There will be a meal at the Water Bridge
3 courses £15.99
Starters
Tomato soup with a Cream and basil pesto
Prawn cocktail
Garlic and herb breaded mushrooms
Chicken liver pate
Mains
8oz sirloin steak
Turkey dinner with all the trimmings
Grilled Tilapia with Thyme and Cranberry crumble
Country veg pie
Brie and cranberry topped beef burger
Puddings
Christmas pudding
Profiteroles
Jaffa cake sundae
Winter berry roulade

A £10 deposit per person is required before the end of October

Rally marshalls for this meet will be - The Motor-Homers Committee

Directions for this meet are
From A50 turn off to Uttoxeter at the junction with the large island ( Water bridge on the junction)-first turning if coming from the East and third from the West ( signed for services)
Cross straight over first small island and take first left at next
Immediately after take second exit from island ( pass Tesco on your left)
At next island take second exit over railway bridge and then first exit at next island
Straight on at the mini island and follow MH signs


Polly just follow signs for racecourse  lol

As we're arriving in the dark - when we get in racecourse gate which signs do we follow then ?

Shall be putting MH signs out inside the course for you to follow


Turn into main gate then right just past the buildings and then left into campsite ( don't follow campsite signs on main board)

Will they have lights on so my navigator can spot em ? Lol

If I can get four candles lol

Well I can say Rob and myself are safely home before the wild wild weather kicks in
We went onto Chester and the not yo great Christmas Market
We ran into a few friends of Robs and all went out for tea

Yes BRILLIANT week or weekend as I am not sure what day it is yet

Thanks to all and Petes program so we had some idea of where we should be and what we were suppose to be doing
It was like a big family reunion

Thanks Polly - You were Brilliant, the meet was brilliant and the weather wasn't too bad.

AGM was very good, thanks to all the members for putting in their views and for voting on so many different proposals.
Many thanks to all my little, and not so little, helpers. It was very tiresome moving the furniture so many times but you all kept smiling...
Special thanks to AJ for coming over to Uttoxeter on his bike in the freezing conditions and giving us the benefit of his expertise on so many different subjects.

All in all it was a very successful meet - and we made a profit !
